After being in beta for nearly a month-and-a-half, yesterday, Opera Software announced public availability of Opera Mini 4.1, the newest version of its mobile phone browser.
Opera claims Opera Mini 4.1 offers the following:
It is up to 50 percent faster than Opera Mini 4.0It automatically suggests URL completions, making for intuitive address input
It is able to save Web pages for later offline viewing
It gives quick access to the word or phrase you're looking for in the Web page
It allows downloading images, ring tones, and other content without having to leave it
Typically, Opera Mini is claimed to deliver the Web to your phone faster and display pages just as they would look from your desktop browser. With Opera Zoom, you can zero in on specific content while Opera Link (a new feature) helps synchronize your bookmarks and speed dial between all of your Web browsers for free.
The first Opera Mini was launched worldwide in 2006; since then over 44 million people have used the software, claims Opera Software.
