Marketed as the ‘Duos’ in some markets, the Samsung SGH-D880 is proudly claimed by Samsung as the first phone to run two SIM cards simultaneously. Yes, we all know about a variety of phones from China that do the same thing, but Samsung is the first from a less dubious manufacturer.

The tri-band GSM phone is of the slider format that should be familiar to Samsung users. The call, cancel, directional and soft keys are located on the bottom of the front face, while the rest of the T9 keyboard is revealed under the slider. Samsung SGH-D880 screen is a large 230×320 TFT LCD while a 3.2 megapixel camera is revealed from the back when the slider is open. Unlike earlier models, the camera has an actual auto-focusing lens. Other features of the D880 include Bluetooth and FM radio tuner.

The dual-SIM phone allows you to load two SIM cards into the phone and have them both active on standby. This means that you can receive calls and SMS from both lines without having to switch SIMs. To make calls and to send messages, you can switch between SIMs using a dedicated key on the side of the phone.

Being a Samsung, the user interface and menu system is the same as any other Samsung. Non-Samsung users wishing to switch over might need some time getting used to the interface and some minor niggles found across Samsung’s entire product line.

Otherwise, we imagine the Samsung SGH-D880 would certainly be welcomed with open arms by folk who regularly carry more than one phone.

Enabling right click on sites that disable it,

Lots of websiteshave disabled the right click function of the mouse button... it's really, really annoying. This is done so that you don't steal (via right-click->save picture) their photos or images or any other goodies. Unfortunately, it disables ALL right-click functionality: copy, paste, open in new window.

It's easy to change, assuming your using IE 6:
Click "Tools"->"Internet Options"
Click the "Security" tab
Click "Custom Level"
Scroll down to the "Scripting" section
Set "Active Scripting" to "disable"
Click "Ok" a couple of times.
